Striving for the highest levels of urban sustainability, Lt. Miller has a 7.5 Star NatHERS thermal performance rating, provides no natural gas services, minimises the use of energy intensive building materials, and is designed so natural light spills into the building through windows and voids.

100% green, clean, fossil fuel free electricity is purchased for the entire building from a sustainable electricity retailer and distributed to residents.

Like other embedded networks managed by South Street, the dollar value of the retail electricity bill for the entire community is apportioned to each residence by the percentage of energy consumed during the equivalent period.

By purchasing electricity in bulk and rationalising network charges through a single connection point, Little Miller residents pay about $200 a year less for their electricity than households using the same amount of electricity under a retail electricity supply contract.
